A walk in the woods

There is an old park not too far from our house that we call the secret playground, because the fun way to get there is to walk through the woods across the street.  Although there are usually no other kids there, we always have a fun time.   Below are some photos from a trip on 9/25/12.

 Shhhh!  There's a chipmunk!  9/20/12

Peek-a-boo!  Rory loves to crawl under the high chair and pull his bibs off the bar, then carry them around until he comes across another fun toy.  9/21/12

Baby in the mirror

Like most babies, Rory loves to look at himself in the mirror!  His favorite book has a mirror at the end of it and recently when we get to that page he looks at his reflection from where he is, then moves in for a closer look, pressing his forehead up against the book.  The photos below are from a visit to Grandma and Grandpa's house 9/16/12, where Rory discovered the baby in the mirror on their headboard after a nap.  :)

Play time!

The bounce house at the mall is a great place to go on a rainy day!

Party weekend

During the beginning of September, we spent a good deal of time celebrating several birthdays.  Our new next door neighbors have a son, who Rosie immediately befriended.  He turned 3 on September 8, and we had a great time at their mustached fiesta!  The next day we had a delicious brunch in Albany to celebrate my niece Victoria's 18th birthday. How time flies!

Rory was not a fan of the mustache...

Tres, the birthday boy, getting first crack at the pinata.

Rosie's first pinata.  She had a blast!
